Dr. Mujahedul Islam is a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Political Science at the University of Toronto and a Research Fellow with the Policy, Elections, and Representation Lab (PEARL) at the Munk School of Global Affairs and Public Policy. A co-organizer of the University of Toronto Political Behavior Group and co-founder of the Quantitative Methods Research Cluster, Dr. Islam brings expertise in political behavior and quantitative analysis to the BEPOS Board of Directors. Dr. Mujahedul Islam holds advanced degrees in Political Science and Public Policy, including an M.A. from the Hartie School and a Ph.D. from the University of Toronto. He specializes in political behavior and data-driven analysis. His research explores ethical distance, democratic representation, and political engagement, with publications in top journals such as the Journal of European Social Policy. Dr. Islam brings his versatile expertise in election studies, democratic governance, and quantitative methodologies leads the BEPOS team’s missions to enhance understanding of voter behavior and democratic processes in Bangladesh.
